The beautiful, family-owned Norgarivier Nursery is situated in George, Garden Route. 80-year-old Hennie Koch, along with son-in-law, Morné Lochner, started a humble, small Norga 24 years ago. Over the years daughter/wife Alet has joined, adding a feminine touch and eye for detail throughout the nursery.

We are proud to have been awarded, twice, Die Burger newspaper’s Readers Choice as the top 2 nurseries in the Western Cape and excited to be nominated best of George!

Our friendly, helpful salesladies are our stars and we are known for our great service. We work hard to keep our nursery filled to the brim with colourful displays, new variety of plants, new gardening trends, hanging baskets, imported terracotta and glazed pots.

Norgarivier Nursery is known for its huge selection of top-quality plants at wholesale prices direct to the public. Our sales area of 4 hectares offers the biggest variety of plants in George!

From annual and perennial plants to colour pots, perennial petunias, pelargoniums, salvias and other herbaceous border plants.

We also specialise in indigenous and exotic trees, more than 59 types of fruit trees, fynbos, shrubs, seedlings, vegetables, culinary and medicinal herbs (more than 120 types) and indoor plants.

We grow more than 95% of our plants ourselves and also supply landscapers, developments and other nurseries.

The nursery has a special potting shed and boasts the widest range of imported terracotta and glazed pots in the Southern Cape. We also stock cement and Italian pots, plastic pots, wine barrels, ornamental cast iron and wood products.

A wide selection of gardening accessories, pesticides, fertilizers, our own organic soil mixes (compost) and much more are also available.

Free Garden Talks

We are innovative and started presenting free garden talks to the public on popular topics such as propagation, garden design, composting, edible gardens, growing fynbos and much more! Morné is known for his plant knowledge and is always ready with expert and practical advice!
